"Bernice"

Just to get this out front, Bernice is our favorite. She is friendly, she likes tolerates being held, she's very smart, and she's a survivor!

One day we heard a squabble outside and went to investigate. Upon opening the door, we saw Bernice being held to the ground by a hawk. The hawk immediate flew away, but it did serious damage. Luckily, Bernice recovered from the incident. After a few moments of shock, she jumped up and walked off. We did give her some wound care and made sure she was recovering, but needless to say it was a traumatic experience for all.
