"Apollo"

Breed: Cross between Australorp and Dominique

We hatched Apollo (along with half-siblings, Odin and Olivine) in our first foray into using an incubator.

Apollo was a very sweet boy having little aggression despite his large physique. And mixing in the Australorp features gave way to an attractive feathering pattern or layout with the distinctive tail flair. 

As a rooster entering adulthood, we knew we wouldn't be able to keep him as skirmishes began to occur regularly - mostly with roo-bro, Odin. During one such challenge, Apollo's beak was actually cracked by Odin and thus, he had difficulty eating. We isolated Apollo and helped him eat and recover, then promptly found him a better home. We really miss Apollo though - he was such nice boy!
